Might want to order your copy before the price goes up.

Finally got a look, and I don't like what I see.

I knew the low voltage table 1 was coming, but I did not know it would be referenced along with the other two tables from a single statement that requires a detailed study OR table use. Table 2 assumes rubber gloving, so it is inappropriate to use here where rubber gloving is not allowed. Table 3 uses much higher current values than we see. But a detailed analysis at the low voltage level is un-workable. We need to be able to use the tabulated values for low voltage while performing the study for voltages over 1000.

And rule 410A3(b) allows synthetic fabric to be worn if it is FR only. I've seen the videos where this stuff drips and burns very well. These fabrics need to be arc rated, not just FR.

Please help me get these rules changed before publication. http://standards.ieee.org/nesc/rp/welcome.html

Thanks.

Are you interested in setting up in virtual conference room 2 at the bottom of this forum to work on proposals with others? That is what we are doing in conference room 1 for NFPA 70E.

Brainfiller,

Thanks for the offer. To late now for proposals for NESC 2012. Just hoping we can get some comments in on what has been proposed.

But aren't the CP's available now until May 2010 for public comments or "interested parties" or am I confused again?

On re-reading your post....Appears that is what you said to start with!

So I guess the question is should we gather some comments on the CP's?
